The international market for fractional ownership is growing by leaps and bounds. Apart from Mexico and the Caribbean, which have already established themselves as perennial fractional ownership markets, Central America and now Europe are beginning to embrace the model. A number of developments have opened or are planned in Costa Rica, while, as our list attests, more and more buyers are looking to PRCs for a slice of life under the Tuscan sun.

Even further afield, private residence clubs are starting to pop up in surprising locations. The Fairmont Zimbali Residences in development in South Africa ranks as one of the most exotic. But if the model works in the U.S., there’s no reason to think that it won’t work on the plains of Africa as well.
